The addition of molybdenum in these Stainless Steel 316 EFW Tubes provides greater corrosion resistance than Stainless Steel 304 Tubes, with respect to localized corrosive attack by chlorides and to general corrosion by reducing acids, such as sulphuric acid. These Stainless Steel 316L Electropolish Tubes provides an extra level of resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
Whilst performing well when exposed to relatively high temperatures, these 316 Stainless Steel Tubes also maintains its strength and toughness at sub-zero temperatures. The carbon content of our SS 316L Tubes reduces the possibility of in vivo corrosion for medical implant use. These Alloy 316 Tubes may be conducive to localized penetration of the passive surface film on the steel, and a single deep pit may well be more damaging than a much greater number of relatively shallow pits.
